Frankie with a fit of the giggles!

"People often ask us what we do at Creative Dance? Well the simple answer is everything! An ordinary Saturday can see us going from a dance rehearsal, to a singing class, a costume fitting, to a singing audition, or a session at the recording studios. No Saturday is the same, and that’s what makes Creative Dance exciting and challenging. There could be 6 in your class, or 46! It all depends what we are rehearsing. Some of the numbers we produce involve the entire Company, all 156 children, or you could be on stage performing a solo.

I’ve been part of the Company since September 2000 when we staged a production of “Peter Pan” with just twenty students. I’ve watched the Company grow over the last 8 years, and I myself have grown with it. My brother Robbie Dancing a la Bollywood style and I have learnt and gained immeasurable experience and confidence, that has allowed us both to pursue a full time training programme in Musical Theatre and Classical Dance at The Arts Educational School, Tring, and Millennium Dance 2000.

The students at Creative Dance work with many different teachers and choreographers, offering several styles of dance / movement, which literally keeps us on our toes.

We are currently in rehearsal for the summer show and will be working with 5 different choreographers this term. We have been privileged enough to perform in some of the best Theatres, including Her Majesty’s Theatre London, Sadler’s Wells, The Assembly Halls Tunbridge Wells, Euro Disney Paris and The White Rock Theatre Hastings.

Carla's fabulous Irish!

I am now a dance assistant for The Creative Dance Company along with Amber Ellis, Hannah Gondolfo and Francesca Whiffin, who have all been with the Company since the very start, and who are now all training full time in some of England's most prestigious Musical Theatre schools and colleges.

I am extremely proud to be part of this fantastic Company, and as you can see from these rehearsal pictures we work very hard!"
